Top Tips for Visiting Wedding Fayres

Visiting Wedding Fayres

First of all, if you are a Bride or Groom, many congratulations on your upcoming wedding. If you are assisting a Bride or Groom with their wedding plans, many congratulations to you, you’re doing an excellent job! Early spring and early Autumn is Wedding Fayre season. Many wedding venues, hotels and exhibition centres host these events, so you do not need to travel far. This is an excellent opportunity to meet and have a chat with wedding suppliers. However, with so many wedding suppliers, Wedding Fayres can be completely overwhelming.

With over 10 years experience in the wedding industry, we would like to share with you our top tips to make your experience of wedding fayres enjoyable and productive.
  • Make a list of what you need to book, i.e flowers, photographer, cake etc… This will give you a plan and help keep you focused.
  • Take along people who want to be there. If your partner doesn’t want to be there, don’t force them as this will be counter productive.
  • Take your time and talk to exhibitors about your wedding. You need to trust your supplier, at the end of the day, this is your special day.
  • Do not feel pressured to book on the day. Take a business card and flyer from them, when you get home take a look at their website and social media pages.
  • Do ask if they offer a discount for bookings as a result of meeting at the wedding fayre.
  • If you are feeling overwhelmed, step away. Go and have a coffee and think about your To Do list to re-focus before carrying on.

I hope this little bit of advice helps, and if you see us, please come and say hello. We wish you every success in the planning of your big day!

E-commerce Photography

E-commerce Photography for your Business

Before making purchases, consumers nowadays search on-line. Whether the consumer makes the purchase on-line or views products before visiting the retail outlet, professional e-commerce photography is an essential element.

Advertising your products with professional images on your e-commerce site draws the attention of the consumer, selling the product to them instantly. Taking images yourself is of course your choice. However, some materials can be very difficult to photograph. Chrome is very difficult as it picks up every reflection, and transparent products, as you can imagine, are extremely tricky. Therefore, this is where hiring a professional photographer is an excellent investment.

With our expertise, we produce high quality images of any product in any material. Below are some images that were taken of coffee making accessories. The duster and latte pen were made of chrome and the templates were transparent plastic. Our client required product images on a white background. Chrome and transparent plastic on white is probably the most challenging combination. They also wanted some creative shots showing the products in action. We relished the task and produced the below images.

Wedding Photographs in Tamworth Castle Grounds

Wedding Photography Location in Tamworth Castle Grounds

A superb local area for wedding photography is the Tamworth Castle Grounds. Many couples getting married in the local area often request for some of their photos to be taken here before heading on to their reception venue.

With the iconic Castle, flower bed wall, obelisk and the Bandstand, all offering an excellent backdrop for the portraiture shots. When planned ahead, we have been able to get the wedding car into the grounds to get some beautiful shots. With so many nearby wedding venues including Drayton Manor and Lea Marston Hotel, the Castle Grounds can be easily travelled to between the ceremony and reception. Of course, not forgetting Castle Hotel, the Castle Grounds are just to the rear.

Family Pictures – The Hawkes Family

Beautiful Family Pictures

On Saturday 4th February, we welcomed the Hawkes family to the studio to update their family pictures.

The family of 5 were a lot fun to shoot. We got some really fun natural photos. One of our favourites is the brothers kissing their little sister, she doesn’t look very impressed, which was very funny. Another shot that was hilarious, was when Phil sat mum on the floor with the little princess on her lap and the lads either side. As Phil shouted ‘drop’, mum fell backwards and the lads got in close to get the black and white shot of the 3 children together. It worked brilliantly!

At the image viewing, it was really touching to see mum’s reaction. She loved every photo! (Her emotions got me choked up). Seeing these reactions to our photographs drives our passion on even more. Mum and dad chose the photos for their frames that will take pride and place in their home for years to come. Below are just a few images from the shoot.

Transparent Background Product Images

Product Photography with Transparent Background

To give you more flexibility with your product photography images, request PNG files with a transparent background.

The photograph of the product is clipped, removing the background. Therefore, allowing you to drop the image on to any setting of your choice. If you are using graphical design to enhance your marketing images, this is an excellent service offered by professional photographers. You receive professional, high quality images, that can then be imposed on to any design of your choice.

Below are some product images that have been supplied to our client as a PNG file with a transparent background. Several different angles were taken and also close up detailed shots, therefore providing a variety of images to choose from to meet their requirements.

Tips for Choosing Your Wedding Photographer

Our Top Tips for Choosing Your Wedding Photographer

With so many Photographers, choosing a Wedding Photographer can be a very daunting task. Don’t worry, we are here to help, with our years of experience, here are our top tips for choosing the right photographer for you.

1. Choose your style

How do you want to remember your wedding? Do you want natural and candid recording the day as it happens, or capturing the romance and emotions, or artistic? Once you have decided on style this will help with your search, discounting the photographers that do not offer the style you want.

2. Let the Search Begin

With 100’s of local wedding photographers, choose the best platform to search for you. This can be a google search, recommendations by your venue, friend recommendations etc… Look at their portfolio and read reviews on their page. If you like what you see, arrange a meeting to discuss your wedding.

3. MOST IMPORTANT TIP – Like your Photographer

This is the most important piece of advice I can offer! Your photographer is going to be there with you every step of your day. Your wedding day is one of the most special, memorable day’s of your life. The last thing you want to think is “yes, it was a lovely day, but the photographer was really annoying and quite frankly a bit of an idiot!”. Therefore, meet with a few photographers and see how well you mesh. Make sure you meet with the actual photographer on the day. Some larger studios may have a few photographers, so you want to meet your photographer.

4. Look at Full Wedding Albums

Always ask to see actual wedding albums. It is very easy for a photographer to put together a portfolio of their best images, but you need to see the full picture, pardon the pun. You want to see copies of actual wedding albums, from the start of the day to the end. As you look at the albums, can you picture your wedding looking like this? If you get a warm, fuzzy, excited feeling this could be the photographer for you.

5. Discuss your Budget

Every wedding has a budget, whether you are spending £1,000 or £100,000. Make sure your photographer is willing to work in your budget. Be open and discuss this. Negotiate the package they are offering to meet your specific requirements. For example, they may include an engagement shoot, if you don’t want this, remove it.  For full day coverage expect to pay over £1,000 for a professional full time photographer.

If you would like to arrange to meet with us to discuss your wedding, please contact us on 01827 215 707, or complete the below enquiry form and we call you back.
